Okay, so Mraz is crushworthy, too. If you guys haven't heard his new single "wordplay" you must go NOW to itunes and download it, because... it's the shit. it's incredibly clever- something pop music (especially the sort you find on the radio) never achieves. why do pop stars take themselve so seriously??

meanwhile finding places in NY where I'm going to hang, I discovered the place that I expect to be living at: http://www.filmforum.org Film Forum shows lots of amazing films, including classics. For instance, the James Dean films that are playing in June. Or how about the series of pre-code Paramount films... including two Carole Lombard movies on July 2nd (which, if you're keeping score, is two months before I'll be there, dammit!!)

otherwise, been watching SIX FEET UNDER (still) and spending FAR too much time over on tribe.net, where I had to be all geekboy-ish and start Hitchcock & Lombard tribes. yeah, i'm a dweeb. (sorry, i had to use that word in a sentence- my store manager said it the other day & was like, "do people still say that?" uhhh no. but it's a fun word, let's bring it back kids!!)
