can we please say goodnight to the last 10,000 years?/please wake me up when it's over
Not a lot to report. I've been watching FELICITY: Season 4 on dvd. It's kind of nice and probably one of the reasons I liked the show so much- it has characters who are actually flawed... who fumble. I appreciate this because lately it seems that life is a series of fumbles.
Otherwise, watched HAROLD AND MAUDE three times repeatedly the other night. I was bummed, it makes me happy. It also made me download Cat Stevens songs from iTunes.
Saw 3 of the 4 short movies that make up BOYS LIFE 2. The first, and the reason I rented it, featured Milo Ventimiglia- who played Jess on GILMORE GIRLS. He plays a gay kid. If you've never seen him on GILMORE GIRLS you'll never be able to appreciate how truly bizarre and kind of wrong it is to see him dancing to nondescript techno at a gay club. It's something that simply must be seen. The second short starred Vincent D'Onofrio, who I have a bit of a crush on- particularly back when this was shot in 95 or so... Also Seth Green is in it as a gay basher. It's very weird... but Vincent's got that charisma thing going on. The third starred Matt McGrath (of BROKEN HEARTS CLUB) who I adore... But I had to stop it shortly after starting because of, y'know... work. Barnes & Noble is fucking with my movie-viewing and I'm not appreciating it. The fourth was directed by Mark Christopher who made 54... I'll let ya'll know how they were.
Finally- you should all go over to tribe.net and join up. It's very cool and the perfect place to go since myspace (much like Lily's voicemail and Orlando Bloom's stint as a leading man) is over. you can find me in the Sarah Vowell tribe, if you want. I'll be raving about ASSASSINATION VACATION or somethin'.
ps: Matty & Shawn- you have goodies coming in the mail... :)

i know that commenting on your own blog is sort of masturbatory & self congragulatory & lots of other tories, but I wrote "non-descript techno" and am thinking that this was maybe too much of an oxymoron.
