despite staying up waaaay too late last night, i was in a pretty good mood, got a lot done so the workday flew by...

got my new issue of MOJO with a free soul cd (highlight so far: Mavis Staples singing "A House is Not a Home")

new NETFLIX movies! (the 2nd episode of CRACKER- which, btw- Paul "STATE OF PLAY Genius" Abbot did NOT create- he wrote a few episodes in the 3rd season, but it is really, really good nonetheless! also got some gay movie with Milo V of GILMORE GIRLS. yummy)

got a cool promo from work of the new Lucinda Williams live disc (I am a manipulative bastard! We had a visit from a rep last week & the whole time he was there, I just focused on which artist I liked on his label who had something new coming out- I mentioned Lucinda and BAM! he sends me a promo! Devilish, conniving, wily I am.)

loving A HEARTBREAKING WORK OF STAGGERING GENIUS. Loving Dave Eggers (oops! sorry gay men call him DAVID) despite his heterosexuality (like that's stopped me before?).

going to see MILLIONS with Lily tomorrow (yaay!!)

and on top of all that? A new episode of SHOWDOG MOMS & DADS tonight! YES the crazy people all meet for the first time and one of them says that Whiny & Pathetic (I forget their names) give "the gay world" a bad name. I'm SO behind her, although... it's never good when you're supporting the person who spends $75 an hour on a pet psychic... ah, well.
